Bone Builder - exercises to make bones stronger.

What Kind Of Exercises Makes Bones Stronger?

Mila Rodgers, physical therapist for John Muir Rehabilitation, Concord, says that bone strengthening exercises are important for all ages. "For children, the best exercise or sport is one that requires running, jumping, kicking or contact with a ball. Even swimming has been shown to increase bone density in athletes," she says. The recommended amount of exercise for children and teens is 60 minutes a day. Sports, dancing and skateboarding are all good ways to promote good bone health.

For adults, the recommendations are more specific. For persons with no medical considerations, a combination of weight-bearing exercise and strength training is recommended. The best type of weight-bearing exercise is one that is either high loading or impact exercise, such as step aerobics, jumping rope or stair running. High loading or impact sports such as soccer, volleyball or tennis are also a good way to stimulate bone strength. Ideally, adults should perform 30 to 60 minutes a day of weight-bearing exercise and do strengthening exercises three times a week.

Individuals with osteopenia (low bone mass), or osteoporosis, should consult a physician before starting any exercise program. Weight-bearing exercise may still be recommended, but usually with lower impact, like walking, dancing or using the treadmill.

Strengthening exercises are still recommended, but exercises or sports that require twisting or bending of the spine should be avoided, like sit-ups, bowling or tennis. In older adults, balance exercises or Tai Chi classes once a week may also be helpful. "With any exercise program, you must continue to challenge yourself," says Jeannie Peterson, physical therapist at John Muir Medical Center, Concord Campus. "For instance, if you are already walking, you might add more days, or add hills, longer distances or increase your speed. If you are doing weight bearing exercise, you might try adding strengthening exercises two to three times each week. Our bodies respond to change, so exercise needs to be varied and challenging to continue being beneficial. Early detection and exercise can make a difference when it comes to osteoporosis. It is never too early to think about the health of your bones." [1]

What customers say about Trivita Bone Builder?

I started taking Bone Builder and could tell a difference in my hip pain within two or three days. Before, I could always feel an annoying pain. If I turned in my sleep, it would hurt. But now the pain is gone, and I feel 100% better! I'm so thankful for Bone Builder… it's better than any prescription drug that I've tried. It's a great product. I never dreamed I could feel this good!
Joanne R. Wilmington, DE

I went to my doctor, who told me I had a problem with bone density. He wanted me to take calcium and prescribed Fosamax. I really didn't want to try Fosamax because of all the negative press it's been getting. It just didn’t feel right. So, I tried a couple of other calcium supplements and didn't like them. Then I tried TriVita's Bone Builder. I was on it for just two or three months before I went back to my doctor. He has already noticed improvements in my bone density. I'll continue to take my six tablets a day!

Weight Loss

Are You desperate to lose weight?

Losing weight especially for the overweight person must be considered the safest and the healthiest way. Basically the right health program to lose weight is by Reducing the amount of Calories of the food you eat, Increasing the levels of Activity, and fixing your current eating habits or having Diet .

Make sure you understand how important is to have a healthy diet to Lose Weight, not the extreme and straight diet which caused starving and severely restrict calories or the types of food 'allowed' which lead you to be deficient in the nutrients and vitamins that your body needs.

Make your Diet Plan as Healthy Diet Program With these Diet Tips below :

1. Breakfast starts the day off right
After waking up, your body needs nutrients and calories immediately. Especially protein. Eat eggs ( Make 3-4 scrambled eggs ). This gets you the protein and fills you up. Eat Black Beans (It claimed as the best food for diet) as much as possible A single can of black beans has 25 grams of fiber and 25 grams of protein... with no sugar. Heat 1/2 of a can of black beans for 5 minutes and spread over your eggs.

2. Protein and fiber for lunch
The more calories ( healthy calories ) you get earlier in the day, the easier the rest of the day becomes for you. You'll have less cravings and less need for snacks to tide you over until the next meal. Eat Tilapia or salmon on a bed of lettuce. Other proteins you can use instead... 1 can of tuna, 1 can of black beans, 1 chicken breast, or 1 hamburger patty.

3. Dinner with a lean meat and some "superfood" vegetables
Use whatever lean meat you want for dinner, but I strongly recommend that you eat 8 ounces of broccoli or cauliflower... or a combo of both.

4. Choose your snacks wisely
Too many people use convenience foods for snacks. A lot of times you don't even have any control over this since you ate so badly in the morning and afternoon that you need the quick energy from the sugars in them. Regardless, try to eat as many apples and low calorie yogurts for your snacks.

5. Drink Water, Protein Shakes, Fruit Juices, and Tea The empty calories beverages are killing you slowly . The average person gets over 25% of his/her calories from liquids now.

Try this simple healthy Diet Plan , healthy diet to lose weight which won't cause you feel like you're suffering or depriving yourself.

Do Nutritional Vitamins Work?

Most Americans eat well enough to get the recommended nutrients on a daily basis, or do they? Is diet alone, enough to sustain a healthy body, or are vitamin and mineral supplements needed to get your daily requirements of the proper nutrients? This has been an ongoing argument for some time, and will probably continue for many years to come.

A lot of researchers say that the food we eat today is fortified with plenty of nutrients. The once common vitamin deficiency diseases such as scurvy and rickets (caused by a lack of vitamin C and D, respectively) have nearly disappeared in America and other advanced countries. For the most part, researchers believe that with a few exceptions, like the elderly or pregnant women, most people don't need supplements.

Ok, hold on; before you go and throw all of your nutritional vitamin supplement bottles away, continue reading.

There are some researchers who maintain that the diets of many Americans still fall well short on several essential nutrients. However, the lack of these nutrients is not enough to cause those debilitating deficiency diseases, but perhaps enough to miss out on their benefits without extra help from supplements.

While the most popular, and probably the least effective, supplement is the multivitamin. There is little evidence to support the fact that they do any good, yet many make claims that cannot be supported. Some researchers do say that multivitamins are "an inexpensive insurance policy," says David Schardt, senior nutritionist at the Center for Science in the Public Interest.

On the upside, there is a growing consensus that states Americans get too little vitamin D, which is needed to help the body absorb calcium. Calcium is important for healthy bones, and can help in the prevention of osteoporosis. Extra calcium to protect bone health is safe and is routinely prescribed for women who get too little from food. Because vitamin d and calcium work hand-in-hand, you may see nutritional supplements that contain both calcium and vitamin d.

TriVita's VitaCal-Mag D is one such supplement. According to TriVita, "the key to bone health is calcium and Vitamin D. These are the two essential ingredients that will help you maintain the strength of your skeletal system, ensure regular cellular activity, proper cardiac function, and preserve the health of other vital body systems."

There are many nutritional supplements that can help you maintain a healthy body, So before you clean out you medicine cabinet, do some research. If you have supplements that can help, follow the directions on the back of the bottle and start taking them. They do absolutely no good sitting in your medicine cabinet. On the other hand, there are some supplements that do just as much good, in your body, as sitting in the cabinet.

Do your research, and start taking nutritional supplements that provide results. You can then help support one side of the argument; are vitamin and mineral supplements needed?

You can learn all about nutritional vitamin supplements by going to the TriVita website.

Weight loss

Are You desperate to lose weight?

There are many weight loss diets that are available to an individual who is desperate to lose weight. Some of these weight loss diets can be categorized in a number of ways. For example some of the diets concentrate on just eating certain types of nutrients. An example of this type of diet can be a high protein or low carbohydrate diet.

Other types of diets can include a diet that emphasizes the use of one particular food. An example of this type of diet could be a grapefruit diet. In addition, there are diets that count calories, count points, count portions, etc.

However, the best weight loss diet is one that allows for the successful loss of weight in a healthy manner. Therefore, the best weight loss diet is one that eats the proper food, loses weight over a period of time and incorporates an exercise program.

When it comes to determining the best weight loss diet for an individual to be involved with it is important to start a diet that provides the human body all the nutrients it requires. Therefore, the best weight loss diet is one that does not focus in on one single food item, but incorporates protein, carbohydrates, fats, etc.

Therefore, the diet is not about starving the body or going on a crash diet. The best diet is an action plan that utilizes a menu which helps the individual to either keep track of calories that is consumed or eating portions of specific foods.

One of the struggles for an individual who is desperate to lose weight is the feeling of being hungry. Therefore, if this is an issue, the individual who is considering what diet to be involved with may consider a vegetarian weight loss diet. This type of diet is not only beneficial in that the individual can eat vast amounts of vegetables, but this will also give them the feeling of being full.

In addition, it is important to know that the best weight loss diet is not sufficient unto itself. Therefore, in order to not only maximize the weight loss of an individual it is important to consider another component to help in this process.

That additional component is an exercise program with the diet plan. This strategy will not only help the individual to accelerate their weight loss, but help to tone up the muscles of the body that may have been neglected. In addition, it will increase the strength of the cardiovascular system.

Flexibility and Joint Hydration

Flexibility is a measure of the range of motion, or the amount of movement possible, at a particular joint. Improving your range of motion through stretching exercises will enhance your efficiency of movement and your posture. In addition, flexibility exercises have been shown to be effective in reducing the incidence and severity of musculotendinous injuries. A regular program of stretching exercises can enhance psychological as well as physical well-being.

If you're a golfing, "stretching exercises are a fundamental component in a golf swing improvement program, and they are integral in any golf fitness regime. At the professional level of golf on the PGA TOUR, players know that flexibility is required to execute the golf swing and, as a result, they adhere to a golf fitness program that incorporates a comprehensive set of golf stretching exercises." [1]

Another important component to flexibility is joint hydration. If your joints are stiff it's impossible to get the full range of motion. Joints must remain well hydrated in order to stay flexible, strong and pliable. Any stiffness in your joints will cause the muscles to work harder, cause soreness in the joint, and/or, as in extreme conditions, will cause damage to the joints.

To help with the hydration process, I recommend TriVita's Optima Flex™. It has been developed by TriVita to help individuals maintain their flexibility, and keep the joints hydrated. Many golfers use Optima Flex to keep their range of motion at the optimum level. "If limitations exist in terms of mobility or flexibility within the body, execution of a fundamentally sound golf swing can be hampered." [1]

The key ingredient in Optima Flex™ to supplement the joints is cetyl myristoleate. Cetyl Myristoleate has been reported to act as a lubricant for the joints and muscles, help in the building of cartilage, and help your body reduce inflammation. It's an expensive, rare ingredient but one that has impressive results in protecting the joints and lowering the possibility for future damage.

Golf stretching exercises are very beneficial in developing the required levels of flexibility for the golf swing. Keeping the joints well hydrated will help maintain that flexibility.

Bone Builder - testomonial

"About a month and a half ago I started taking Bone Builder. I read about the differences between regular calcium supplements and Bone Builder, and I decided that Bone Builder was right for me. Every two years I get a bone density test. The last one showed that I have Osteopenia, the state right before osteoporosis. After just one trip around the grocery store, my hip used to really hurt. Now I don't have that pain. I'm anxious to see what the next test shows!"

I believe in TriVita. They care for the whole person.

Pain Relief from Nopalea

Many senior citizens suffer from chronic pain, and there are a number of different reasons. It's not unusual for older individuals to develop arthritis, where cartilage, the cushioning for the joints, breaks down, causing swelling, pain, and stiffness. Arthritis commonly affects the fingers, hips, knees, neck, hands, and elbows.

Most cases of arthritis are treated with anti-inflammatory meds, and there are several medications available for arthritis pain relief. Most are relatively safe; however no medication is completely free of side effects. Before taking any medication, talk with your doctor to formulate a medication plan for your specific pain symptoms.

Another form of chronic pain for seniors is osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a condition where the bones become extremely brittle and fragile. When an individual has osteoporosis, his or her bones can be broken very easily. When bones break, there is a tremendous amount of pain. Furthermore, if the bone doesn't heal properly, it can lead to chronic pain.

Prevention of osteoporosis is the best medicine. However, not all seniors have taken the proper path during their younger years to help prevent this disease. In turn, individuals turn to prescription medication to treat osteoporosis. According to many medical experts, "bisphosphonates are - by far - the most common medications prescribed for osteoporosis treatment." [1]

"Bisphosphonates slow the bone breakdown process. Healthy bones are in a state of continuous breakdown and rebuilding. As you get older, and especially after menopause when your estrogen levels decrease, the bone breakdown process accelerates. When bone rebuilding fails to keep pace, bones deteriorate and become weaker. Bisphosphonates basically put a brake on that. These drugs effectively preserve or maintain bone density during menopause - and decrease the risk of breaking a bone as a result of osteoporosis." [1]

Whether you're a senior and are suffering from chronic pain, or just looking for pain relief from minor aging symptoms, TriVita's Sonoran Bloom Nopalea™, may be what you're looking for. Nopalea™ is derived from the Nopal cactus, a desert superfruit that is loaded with betalains, a powerful and formerly rare antioxidants. Betalains are known as a natural and very powerful anti-inflammatory nutrient, one that fights inflammation and thus, helps to relieve chronic pain.

Before Nopalea™, the only way to get these rare betalains, was to take a trip to the Sonoran Desert. But now, they are available to the average person in the form of a terrific tasting drink. Nopalea™ is not sold in stores. Nopalea™ is only available from TriVita, and can be found by searching Google, of by clicking on the Sonoran Bloom Nopalea™ link.

If you're a senior, and you suffer from chronic pain, and/or are looking for relief from your pain, ask your doctor if Nopalea™ is right for you. From what I've read and heard, there are no side effects, like with most medications.

Weight Loss

Are You desperate to lose weight?

Losing weight is tough when you don’t know how. Most people fail at losing weight because they were taught wrong or they simply do not have the resources. There are simple steps to lose weight than will help you tremendously. Motivation helps you by keeping you in focus and not letting yourself down. Setting goals gives you something to strive for so you can be proud of what you achieved. And a high metabolism helps burn off the weight.

A high metabolism is one of the most important things when you want you are desperate to lose weight. What metabolism does is it simply burns your food instead of storing it as extra weight. The last thing that you want to happen is to keep on gaining weight. Metabolisms correct that. How do you attain a high metabolism? Simple all you need to do is instead of eating three big meals a day eat five or six smaller meals. This will make your metabolism skyrocket.

Goal setting is another important method if you are desperate to lose weight. Most people simply do not know how to set goals when they are desperate to lose weight. They only set one goal, which eventually brings them down mentally because of the overbearing task that they would like to accomplish. Instead of just making one goal, try making multiple smaller goals that lead to your desired weight. This helps you by making you feel like you accomplish a goal and keeps you moving on toward your next one.

I cannot express this enough of how important motivation is when you are desperate to lose weight. It is simply the number one thing you have to have when you want to lose weight. If you do not have motivation you have no desire to lose extra extra weight at all. Nothing keeps you going and there for you will ultimately fail your weight loss goal. What I would recommend to motivate yourself is to either look at yourself in the mirror or imagine what you want to look like or write down some goals on some cards and read them day in and day out.

You now have three simple rules to lose weight. If you apply these to your weight loss routine you are guaranteed to lose weight faster than you ever thought possible. Increase your metabolism high, make smaller goals for yourself and most importantly stay motivated.

Weigth Loss and Goals

Are You desperate to lose weight?

Starting a weight loss diet is one of the easiest things a person can do. Staying with it, well, that's another thing entirely. There are so many reasons that people just can't seem to stay with their weight loss attempts no matter how desperate they are to lose weight.

If you are like most people, you probably have a pretty full schedule nearly every day with what seems like more things to do than hours in the day to get them done. Between work, school and things at home that need to be done, it's no wonder that it can be so hard to find time to lose weight.

Most of the time you are probably eating haphazardly, eating whatever is fast, convenient and can be eaten on the go. Your average day never seems to give you the time to exercise. Well, if you are serious about losing that extra weight there are a few things you can do that will help make your quest a little easier. It will still take some effort on your part, but you can do it.

To start with, you need to have a plan. Weight loss is a long term goal, and while long term goals may be important, they often do not have a sense of urgency. It is too easy for less important things, but things that have to get done right now, to take over and put your long term goal on the back burner.

The way to remedy this is to break your long term goal down into a series of short term ones, then break these short term ones into things that find their way onto your daily "to do" list. Make a list of what you want to accomplish with your weight loss plan and be specific. Rather than saying "I would like to lose this extra weight", say "I want to lose 20 pounds in the next six months".

Now that you have a long term goal for yourself, you need a plan of action to make it a reality. This is where you now say "to do this, I want to lose 3-4 pounds each month". Now that you've set yourself up with a series of short term goals, you need to say to yourself "I will lose one pound every week until I have lost 3-4 pounds this month". Now keep in mind that it is not enough to simply have the goal. You need to remind yourself of it everyday, all day.

Put your goal of losing one pound each week on your refrigerator door, on your computer screen, your calendar or your day planner, and even on the dashboard of your car. This way your plan is always there with you everyday, all day to keep you reminded of just how important it is, where ever you go.

You probably won't be able to make all of the changes you want to all at once. To be realistic about it, select one or two things like snacking or fast food to eliminate, and focus on those things. Write down what you want to do different, and make it part of your 'things to do today" list. Each day as you do these things, mark it off as done for that day. By doing this, you can see that you really are achieving your goals and you will feel so good about yourself each day for making yourself stay committed to it.

If one day here and there you didn't accomplish your daily goal, do not feel defeated and do not get down about it. What you need to do here is sit down and assess the situation to figure out why it didn't happen that day. Perhaps you just need to plan your day a little better.

If you had planned to bring a low fat, healthy lunch with you but got rushed and did not have the time to make it, start making it the night before and keep it in the fridge, then all you have to do is grab it and go. Remember, you are only human and you will make mistakes, but the important thing is that you learn from your mistakes and move ahead rather than letting them defeat you.

Take a few minutes at the end of each day to reflect on everything that you did that day, and to plan out your next day. The little bit of time you take each day to plan will make a major difference in your weight loss success.

Bone Builder

Bone Growth Factor is a proprietary blend of nutrients that nourish healthy bone growth while protecting existing bone.

* Promotes the rebuilding process
* Protects Against Bone Loss
* Enhance Density and Strength
* May Reduce Osteoporosis Risk
* Protects Against Bone Disease
* Contains Bone Growth Factor™, a doctor-formulated blend of nutrients clinically proven to rebuild bone
* Bone Growth Factor helps bone minerals work more effectively
* A 2005 study showed that TriVita Bone Builder improved bone density a net 6% in the hip-femoral area

A comprehensive formula containing THREE key components. These are listed in order of importance.

1. A proprietary blend which addresses the bone remodeling process.

* There is a constant battle between the cells that destroy our bones (Ostoclast) and cells that build them up (Osteoblasts) This Process is called Bone Remodeling.

Weight Loss

Are You desperate to lose weight?

Now, I’m going to share why many people fail to lose weight and maintain that weight reduction. It’s either one or two things, some lose weight very fast through some form of trend diet, but later regain it. Or some fail to lose weight at all. In fact, some men including me got fatter while making an attempt to lose weight.

Okay, before I give you the explanation so many are not successful at shedding pounds, I need to make something totally clear to you.

Most of your fat loss will be directly linked to your diet. Eating correctly is greater than any exercise program that you can ever institute to lose weight. Mix the two and you’ve a winner. But if you had to choose from the two…Diet will trump exercise each time, in order to lose weight.

Since I have gotten that off my chest, here’s the #1 reason why many people can’t lose weight.

Failure to prepare and organize meals

As I mentioned above, dieting is the most vital component when it comes to weight loss…. And selecting your meals wisely is vital to weight loss…. So it’s logical to claim that not planning and organizing your meals is why the general public can’t can not lose weight.

Here’s what occurs when you do not prepare your meals. If you under prepare your meals, then you’re going to eat foods for convenience. You see, when you do not plan your meals, once hunger kicks in, you can eat anything that’s around you including foods which will make you fat. But If you prepare previously, you will be in control and lose weight.

Do not keep foods in the house that will make it difficult to lose weight.

Remember that in order to lose weight you must plan out your meals. Go ahead and sit down for five mins every day to plan out the meals and snacks that you will need for the next day. If you stick with the meal plan exactly, you’ll lose weight fast.

Fight Inflammation, the Root Cause

Is cholesterol the cause of heart attacks and strokes, or is it getting falsely blamed? Is there some underlying cause that should be targeted, as the real problem, instead?

First let's take a look at cholesterol:

Cholesterol is a soft, waxy substance found among the lipids (fats) in the bloodstream and in all your body's cells. It's an important part of a healthy body because it's used to form cell membranes, some hormones and is needed for other functions. [1]

Cholesterol also aids in the manufacture of bile (which helps digest fats), and is also important for the metabolism of fat soluble vitamins, including vitamins A, D, E and K. It is the major precursor for the synthesis of vitamin D and of the various steroid hormones (which include cortisol and aldosterone in the adrenal glands, and the sex hormones progesterone, the various estrogens, testosterone, and derivatives ). [2]

According to some experts, cholesterol may be getting a bad rap, and is wrongly accused as the cause of heart attacks and strokes. Upon inspection of the arteries of someone at risk for a heart attack, levels of cholesterol and plaque build up are very high. The cholesterol, being transported to tissues, is actually part of an inflammatory response going to repair damage.

On it's journey, it will only lodge itself onto the artery, and cause plaque, if the artery has become damaged. In essence, it's inflammation in the artery that causes this damage. In fact, many experts agree that it's the coronary disease that causes heart attacks, which is now considered to be caused mostly from chronic inflammation.

The causes of inflammation and its effects on the human body is an ongoing process. In a recent newsmax.com article by Dr. Blaylock, he says that "the latest studies show that inflammation is an independent risk factor for heart disease that is much stronger than any measure of cholesterol."

If it is true that inflammation is the actually cause, and cholesterol is getting blamed for doing it's job (sound all too familiar), shouldn't we be fighting the battle at the root, and fight against inflammation?

Every day, we're exposed to toxins in our air, water and food-and even toxins created by our own bodies. It's these toxins that cause inflammation. So if we really want to get to the proper level, even before inflammation has a chance to take affect, we need protect our bodies against these toxins. So how do we do that? With TriVita's Sonoran Bloom Nopalea™.

TriVita's Nopalea™ (made from the Nopal cactus) specifically targets signs of inflammation in your body and reduces them quickly.[1] Its betalains and other anti-inflammatory ingredients work directly on the fluid surrounding your cells. There, they draw off the toxins and excess water to reduce inflammation and rebalance the cellular environment.

If it's true what Hippocrates says, "all disease is one", and if the majority of diseases are in some way related to inflammation and toxins, doesn't it make sense to try TriVita's Sonoran Bloom Nopalea™, which has the powerful antioxidant betalains.

For information on how you can boost your health and extend your life by reducing chronic inflammation, go to the Sonoran Bloom web site by clicking on the previous link.

Lose Weight Quickly

Are You desperate to lose weight?

Fad diets or popular exercise programs are constantly being foisted to people, promising drastic weight loss programs that will give them all the instructions on how to lose weight in a week or less. But really, the best way to lose weight fast is simply to select a good diet and exercise plan that best suits you.

If you want to get a trim waist line and flat stomach; if you don’t want to worry about gaining back weight you tried so hard to lose for such a long time, then read on to learn about the best way to lose weight fast.

For those who would like to lose weight and keep it off, you should set up for yourself a healthy goal for how much you want to lose. Lots people who are desperate to lose weight set unrealistic goals they cannot meet, at least not without harming their bodies. Then, when they cannot reach their goals, they give up and believe they cannot lose weight without pills. Therefore, it’s a good idea to set goals in increments of 10 pounds or so.

You should do some research when trying to draw up your plan to lose weight. This is a really important step when it comes to finding the best way to lose weight fast. You need to know a lot of different factors, like how much you want to lose, how fast you want to lose those pounds, what sort of food you need to base your diet around to lose them, and whether or not you can stick to that diet after losing your desired weight etc.

You should also exercise regularly to lose weight. The thing about figuring out how to lose weight is just to make sure that you are making plans that best suit your body and your needs. You don’t want to select a diet that you don’t like eating, any more than you want to select an exercise plan that you don’t think is fun. People fail at diets because they choose diets and exercise plans that do not suit their bodies or interests.

Despite the different weight loss plans and programs promised out there to help you to lose weight, the best way to lose weight fast is just to do some research to pick a diet and exercise plan that suits you best.

Vitamin B-12

Did you know that your brain shrinks as you age? Vitamin B12 is believed to help protect the brain against this age-related atrophy. It also plays an important role in maintaining healthy functions of the brain and nervous system. Vitamin B12 is needed for the formation of new blood cells.

Vitamin B12 deficiencies have been linked to brain atrophy and impaired cognitive brain functions. B12 is found in meat, poultry, fish, eggs, milk and milk products in good concentrations. Fortified breakfast cereals can also be a good source for B12. Those on purely vegetarian and vegan diets and the elderly are more susceptible to vitamin B12 deficiencies.

The elderly should supplement their diet with vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is absorbed poorly in the elderly. That's why so many elderly revert to getting b12 shots, at least until a different delivery system was created by Dr. Alfred Libby.

Dr. Alfred Libby, M.D., a renowned authority on therapeutic nutrition and longtime associate of Nobel Prize Laureate, Dr. Linus Pauling, began to explore an alternative delivery system for Vitamin B-12. The goal was to bypass the stomach where this essential nutrient is not easily absorbed.

In early spring of 1980, Dr. Libby approached his colleagues with his new theory that B-12 could be delivered to the bloodstream sublingually (under the tongue). Biochemists and his medical colleagues were quick to dismiss the idea. However, he was persistent and they eventually decided to give his theory a try, although they were convinced it would fail.

Six weeks later the first clinical trial was underway. Shortly after, Dr. Libby's Sublingual B-12 invention was deemed a complete success - blood levels of B-12 increased from 1.2% to over 90%! In fact, Dr. Libby's patented sublingual delivery method is able to deliver up to 98% absorption where oral tablets have as little as 2%.

Dr. Libby closely followed B Vitamin research throughout his lifetime-with special attention to the work of Dr. Kilmer McCully, who pioneered a B Vitamin/Homocysteine theory in the 1960s. Dr. McCully theorized and later proved, that homocysteine, a toxic amino acid, was the culprit in a large percentage of heart disease cases.

Both Dr. McCully and Dr. Libby knew that B Vitamins-specifically B-12, B-6, and folic acid-detoxified homocysteine and helped prevent heart disease. By the 1990s researchers began to uncover homocysteine's link to other killers-stroke, diabetes and Alzheimer's, among others.

As a result of this research, Dr. Libby took a new look at his patented Sublingual B-12, and added the perfect homocysteine-fighting proportions of B-6 and folic acid. The final result of 20 years of dedicated research and testing is TriVita's unique, patented Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid-doctor-formulated for maximum absorption every day.

Whether you're young, middle-age, or one of the elderly, taking vitamin b-12 on a daily basis has benefits that will last a lifetime. The benefits far outweigh any side affects that may be related to the use of this all important vitamin.

Sublingual B-12

It offers your body super support

There are many reasons to include Super Sublingual B-12 in your daily supplementation to support your overall good health.

First, it provides key nutrients to help keep your nerves healthy. Every day, your nerves are damaged by normal wear and rear; Vitamin B-12 helps your body repair and replace these nerves at night, while you sleep. When you're deficient, however, this vital work isn't completed, which can lead to a whole host of serious nervous.

Second, Super Sublingual B-12 helps your body manufacture red blood cels and properly replicate DNA. This helps protect against problems of anemia (a deficiency of red blood cells, leading to unusual tiredness ans similar symptoms).

Third, it helps with the symptoms associated with brain erosion that can occur as you age. Studies show that the brain can lose from 10-25% of its volume between the age 34 and 54, but Super Sublingual B12 nourishes your brain, helping to minimize and repair the symptoms associated with brain erosion.

Weight Loss

Are You desperate to lose weight?
If you are, there is a good chance that you have heard of weight loss surgery before. Weight loss surgery is how many individuals lose weight. Although weight loss surgery has helped thousands of Americans lose weight, improve their appearance, and improve their health, weight loss surgery may not be for you.

When it comes to determining if weight loss surgery is right for you, there are a number of factors that you will need to take into consideration. One of those factors is your current weight. Most of the time, you will find that weight loss surgeons require their patients to be at least eighty pounds overweight. If you are not as overweight as recommend, you may not even be able to undergo a weight loss surgery. If that is the case, you should keep in mind that there are a number of different weight loss approaches that you can take.

Talking of different weight loss methods, have you tried any other approaches? Many individuals are able to successfully lose weight with healthy eating, exercise, and weight loss products, like diet pills. While there are some individuals who opt for weight loss surgery right away, there are others who only use it as a last resort. Although weight loss surgery, like gastric bypass surgery or lap-band surgery, is more than worth it, you may be able to lose your excess weight without having to spend a large amount of money doing so.

Another factor that you should take into consideration, when determining if weight loss surgery is right for you, is your health. If you are overweight, have you been noticing any other health problems or has your doctor outlined the importance of losing weight for your health? If this has happened, you may not have a choice when it comes to undergoing weight loss surgery. For some individuals, weight loss surgery is, literally, lifesaving.

As it was previously mentioned, two popular weight loss surgeries include gastric bypass surgery and lap-band surgery. While there additional weight loss surgeries that you can undergo, these two are the most popular ones. The surgery that you would like to undergo is also important when determining whether or not weight loss surgery is your best option. For instance, gastric bypass surgery requires the stapling of the stomach, whereas lap-band surgery involves an adjustable or removable band. When deciding which weight loss surgery you should undergo, your decision will need to be made in conjunction with a healthcare professional.

When examining weight loss surgeries, you will find that most surgeries reduce the stomach pouch size. For that reason, your ability to follow all instructions given to you is important. After undergoing a weight loss surgery, like lap-band surgery or gastric bypass surgery, your healthcare professional will likely request that you develop yourself an exercise plan, as well as eat healthy. It is important that you follow all advice given to you. With weight loss surgeries that involve the reduction of the stomach pouch, an over consumption of food can be harmful to your weight loss, as well as dangerous to your health.

The above mentioned factors are factors that may help you determine whether or not weight loss surgery is right for you. As a reminder, it is important to remember that weight loss surgery is not your only option, when looking to lose weight, but it is a method that you should explore

Omega Prime

With all the current pregnancies in our church, I thought I'd look into some of the disorders that may arise during a pregnancy. I also looked at vitamins and minerals, and their affect, both good and bad, on pregnant women. One such order that I've found is Preeclampsia, which from at least one study showed that all the women suffering from this disorder had low levels of vitamin d and omega-3.

What is Preeclampsia?

According to the Preeclampsia website, "Preeclampsia is a disorder that occurs only during pregnancy and the postpartum period and affects both the mother and the unborn baby. Affecting at least 5-8% of all pregnancies, it is a rapidly progressive condition characterized by high blood pressure and the presence of protein in the urine. Swelling, sudden weight gain, headaches and changes in vision are important symptoms; however, some women with rapidly advancing disease report few symptoms." [1]

The exact causes of Preeclampsia remain unclear, although researchers suspect poor nutrition, high body fat, immune deficiencies, and insufficient blood flow to the uterus, with ethnicity and heredity seen as possible factors.

Hopes have been raised for a number of possible preventive factors – including antioxidant vitamins and chocolate – but these indications were not supported by subsequent research (Triche EW et al. 2008; Rumbold A et al. 2008; Klebanoff MA et al. 2009). [2]

Can low vitamin D levels have an affect on women during their pregnancy?

A recent study conducted in Norway showed that "nulliparous women who develop Preeclampsia had low concentrations of vitamin D in serum sampled in mid-pregnancy. The aim of the present study was to estimate the association between intake of vitamin D during pregnancy and the risk of Preeclampsia in 23,423 nulliparous pregnant women taking part in the Norwegian Mother and Child Cohort Study." [3]

The findings in the study may not be conclusive, however, it did show that women who had Preeclampsia, did have a lower level of vitamin d. "The findings are consistent with other reports of a protective effect of vitamin D on Preeclampsia development. However, because vitamin D intake is highly correlated with the intake of long chain n-3 fatty acids in the Norwegian diet, further research is needed to disentangle the separate effects of these nutrients." [3]

Because of the high consumption of fish in the Norwegian diet, researchers also noted that the women who reported higher vitamin D intake also reported higher omega-3 intake (from food and/or pills). This makes sense, given that fish are by far the best food sources of both nutrients.

You may have heard that omega-3 essential fatty acids are an important part of your diet, and so is vitamin d. Whether you are pregnant or not, eating healthy foods and taking a daily supplement is the key to good health.

A good source of vitamin d is TriVita's VitaCal-Mag D, which provides, five forms of chelated calcium, over 20 bone-fortifying vitamins and minerals, 100% RDI of Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc and Vitamin D, and Chlorophyll-coated tablets that protect valuable nutrients, time-releasing optimal absorption.

And a good source of omega-3 is TriVita's Omega Prime, which meet the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. One daily dose of Omega Prime provides the amount of Omega-3 recommended by the AHA for healthy individuals, as well as for those who have heart disease or the risk of it.

Chronic Pain Relief

Chronic Pain and Being Careful with Narcotics

The average person who is dealing with chronic pain is likely to be needing to take narcotics for pain control. Narcotics are a class of drugs that do have the ability to powerfully control chronic pain. Unfortunately they are also addictive and likely to push a person into needing to take the medication all the time.

There is a real disagreement as to whether people who have chronic pain should take narcotics. Some doctors refuse to use narcotics in patients with chronic pain. Others are rather liberal with the medication. As you can imagine, people who "like" narcotics tend to become patients of doctors who prescribe them with little qualification as to the need for the narcotic or the reason for the pain.

Well, we all know what pain is. But what is chronic pain? Well the purpose of pain is to help us avoid bad things happening to our body. When an injury happens, things hurt. That’s the way it's supposed to be. That is called "acute pain".

Chronic pain, however, is pain that lasts well after the 6 week time that it should normally take for an injury to get better. Some would say that you can't call it chronic pain until it has lasted for 3 months. Either way the pain is lasting well after the injury.

There are many medical strategies to try to help deal with chronic pain and it is absolutely crucial that anybody who has chronic pain seek medical attention to figure out why they have it and what can be done about it. Nobody and I repeat nobody should ever deal with their chronic pain using alternative strategies until they have had a thorough evaluation.

Unfortunately for many people, after the evaluation there is the reality that their chronic pain is still with them. It just stays and stays and stays. In that case it becomes very reasonable to pursue alternative strategies as long as they are safe. Particularly for the person who is not going to give up.

I have discovered that a very powerful nutrient grown right in the Sonoran Desert called "betalains" may help to decrease chronic pain. At least that’s been the experience of some people who have been fortunate enough to get ahold of this nutrient.

Fortunately this nutrient can now be obtained through a whole food in drink form that actually tastes good. You can read the story about this very powerful nutrient and how it might help chronic pain at Pain Relief.

There is a reasonable chance that you will need less narcotic treatment for your chronic pain if you are using these betalains. So I encourage you to get them the drink tastes very good and you don’t have to worry about pills. The only thing you have to lose is - your chronic pain.

Weigth Loss

Desperate To Lose Weight

A few studies indicate that caffeine may slightly enhance weight loss in people who exercise and maintain a low-fat diet. But there’s no evidence that increased caffeine intake results in significant or permanent weight loss.

Marketers of fad diets and weight-loss supplements often exaggerate the benefits of caffeine, claiming that caffeine will significantly curb your appetite and help you drop pounds quickly. However, clinical studies on the relationship between caffeine and weight loss don’t support these claims.

Here’s what researchers have found:

  • Caffeine may act as an appetite suppressant. However, while studies have shown that some people eat less after consuming caffeine, this effect is brief – not long enough to lead to significant weight loss.
  • Caffeine may increase your body’s ability to burn calories. Caffeine is thought to stimulate thermogenesis – one way your body generates heat and energy from digesting food. However, caffeine’s role in thermogenesis probably isn’t enough to result in significant weight loss.
  • Caffeine acts as a diuretic, which means it causes an increase in the amount of urine you excrete. This water loss may temporarily decrease your body weight.

It’s important to keep in mind that caffeine is a stimulant that can increase your heart rate and blood pressure, interrupt your sleep, and cause nervousness and irritability. Also, many caffeinated beverages are high in calories, which can contribute to unwanted weight gain.

desperate to Lose Weight

Desperate To Lose Weight

Obesity has indeed become a chronic condition through the years. Although it can be a “temporary problem” which can be solved and treated for a couple of months or years with a rigid diet, losing excessive weight gain is not always possible and easy.

For most obese people, it can be a frustrating and life-long effort if not addressed properly. In order to promote safe and effective weight loss, various weight loss programs have been created to provide long-term approach in controlling obesity. If you are determined to lose weight by enrolling into a specific weight loss program, here are some of the tips you can use to find that responsible and safe weight loss program for you.

- Make sure the diet is safe. You can do this by double-checking if the diet offered by the weight loss program includes the vitamins, minerals, and proteins required in the Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs).

- Check if the weigh loss diet offers low calories. Since too much calorie intake is one of the primary reasons of obesity, make sure that the diet provided by the weight loss program you are planning to enrol is low in calories and not in essential and essential contents.

- A responsible weight loss program should be directed towards a slow and steady weight loss. Since weight loss cannot be achieved overnight, make sure that the weight loss program promotes slow but sure weight loss strategies. Most experts agree that the safest weight loss is about a pound a week after the first 2 weeks. It is expected that since many weight loss programs based losing weight with calorie-restricted diets, you will experience rapid weight loss during the 2 weeks. Don’t worry because this loss is mainly fluid and can be regained quickly when you go back to a normal-calorie diet. Unless your physician thinks that losing weight rapidly is best for your health condition would benefit, stick to quick weight loss.

- The weight loss program can give you an idea how much weight you should and you could lose, can present to you the appropriate weight-loss program for your body’s condition, and can give you a rough estimate on how much weight you should lose in a specific period of time.

- Check if the weight loss program you are planning to enrol with offers weight maintenance plans after the weight loss phase. A safe weight loss program must ensure the safety and effectivity of the weight loss diet by monitoring its after effects. Inquire if the weight loss program offers weight maintenance because it is the most difficult part of controlling weight.

- Make sure that the weight program can help you permanently change your lifestyle towards healthy living. A responsible weight loss program should help the person change his/her dietary habits as well as the level of physical activity in order to avoid repeating the factors that led him/her to obesity before.

- Look for Behavior modification help. The weight loss program should include education in healthy eating habits and long-term plans in dealing with weight problems. It should also include individually tailored exercise programs for the student.

- Keep an eye on financial transparency. Make sure that the weight loss program provides a detailed statement of fees and actual costs of additional items like dietary supplements in your bill.

The B-12 Family of B Vitamins

Homocysteine, Genetics & Vitamins - by Brazos Minshew, TriVita's Chief Science Officer

Homocysteine (HCY) is a tool used by your body to modify protein. Specifically, homocysteine carves up the amino acid methionine into smaller amino acids. Each of these amino acids has important functions. The "leftovers" from this construction project are not thrown away. Instead, your body recombines the debris back into methionine again.

Methionine is the protein that serves as the foundation for all other proteins. It's like concrete: You can build a small cottage or a large skyscraper on the same concrete foundation. You can build brain cells, heart cells, bone cells, and healthy cells for your entire body on the protein methionine. Homocysteine is responsible for crafting that foundation. While homocysteine is an excellent tool for your body, too much of it can be fatal.

There is a common gene defect among people in North America. It is called an MTHFR defect. It allows homocysteine to escape into the bloodstream and literally shred your arteries, causing a stroke; tangle your brain cells causing Alzheimer's disease; shatter your bones causing osteoporosis; and inflame your heart, causing a heart attack.

Another common genetic defect is MTHFD. It allows homocysteine to run amok inside your cells. This can lead to cell mutations and even cancer.

What an elegant, yet destructive element homocysteine can prove to be! How can we modify homocysteine and harness its constructive power while protecting against its destructive rampage?

The answer is found in Vital Amines.

Vital Amines are active enzymes in your blood, organs, and even inside your cells. You may know them by their shortened name - vitamins! In the world of "B" vitamins there are two families:

1. The MTHFR family

  • a. B-12
  • b. Folic acid
  • c. B-6
  • d. Biotin

2. The MTHFD family

  • a. Riboflavin
  • b. B-1
  • c. Niacin
  • d. Pantothenic acid

Elevated homocysteine can be caused by genetics or poor nutrition. When a person has an active genetic defect they require intense nutrition to offset the imbalance caused by the gene mutation. Supplemental nutrition is very effective in most cases. TriVita's HCY Guard® was designed specifically for high HCY. One study on TriVita's HCY Guard found that HCY levels could be reduced by 35% in just 6 weeks!

Vital amines such as the Riboflavin family of B vitamins combine with antioxidants to help reduce the activity of cellular homocysteine. One study found that the specific antioxidant ECGC (the antioxidant found in green tea) stopped the trigger DNMT (an enzyme) from releasing homocysteine inside the cell. People consuming large amounts of ECGC have reduced DNMT and have fewer cases of cancer.

Riboflavin and ECGC are both found in Energy Now!®. In fact, just as TriVita's Sublingual B-12 and HCY Guard supplements contain the B-12 family of B vitamins, Energy Now! contains the complementary Riboflavin family of B vitamins. They work together to form a perfect B complex that helps your body reduce homocysteine.

Is there a way to tell if you have one of these common disease risks? Yes; one way is to have a genetic test performed. This is usually done by drawing enough blood to collect DNA and submitting this to one of only a few labs in North America that can perform genetic testing. A second way is to have your homocysteine levels tested. This can be performed by most medical laboratories. Ask your doctor to do this test with your annual physical.

Another indicator of elevated homocysteine is your own family tree. Does any "first-degree" relative (father, mother, brother, or sister) have any of the conditions attributed to homocysteine? If so, you likely have the gene defect. Does a "second-degree" relative (grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins) have any of the conditions attributed to homocysteine? If so, you may have the gene defect as well.

Did you know nutrient deficiencies can mimic a genetic defect by failing to provide the minimum amount of vital amines necessary to prevent elevated homocysteine? A poor diet, illness, pregnancy, aging, and stress can place you at risk for elevated HCY. Children and adults with asthma and irritable bowel syndrome are at high risk for elevated HCY.

Lowering your homocysteine

High HCY in your blood is linked to serious illness. Helping your body reduce high HCY may greatly reduce your risk for serious illness. These actions will also help:

  • Eat fruits and vegetables high in antioxidants - 5 servings daily for children, 7 servings for women, and 9 servings for men.
  • Reduce your stress load.
  • Get at least 30 minutes of vigorous activity every day.
  • Supplement your diet with nutrients such as TriVita's HCY Guard and Energy Now!.
  • Defeat stress by nurturing your spirit with healthy relationships and a healthy sense of purpose.

Remember, genes are not fate; you have as much control over your genes (through nutrients and nurturing) as they have over you. Build a healthy foundation for your future by balancing your homocysteine.

Be sure to have your homocysteine levels tested if:

  • You have a family history of:
    • Heart disease
    • Stroke
    • Alzheimer's disease
    • Osteoporosis
    • Cancer
  • You experience gastric disturbances, breathing difficulties, or kidney issues
  • You are over 50 You are pregnant
  • You are experiencing high stress levels
  • You eat a poor diet
  • You don't exercise regularly

Omega Prime

For everything that's suggested as being good, there is usually something that's bad. It's no difference when it comes to physical fitness.

Just when you thought exercise was important in order to maintain your ideal weight, and keep you physically fit, we hear about a down side, Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). It's not likely that you'll ever experience DOMS, but the fact remains that it does effect many people who are determined to stay, or get in shape.

According to Wikipedia, "(DOMS), sometimes called muscle fever, is the pain or discomfort often felt 24 to 72 hours after exercising and subsides generally within 2 to 3 days. It is commonly thought to be caused by increased lactate concentrations; however, this is a misconception as it has been shown elevated levels of lactic acid rarely persist after an hour of rest." [1]

This sort of muscle pain is not quite the same as the muscle pain or fatigue you experience during exercise. This delayed pain is also very different than the acute, sudden pain of and injury such as muscle strains and sprains, which is marked by an abrupt, specific and sudden pain that occurs during activity and often causes swelling or bruising.

There are no real known simple treatment for DOMS; however, several theories or home remedies, if you will, have been used to treat DOMS. Research continues on DOMS, but researchers haven't come up with a solution for a quick recovery from DOMS. Although there is no real cure, research has been focusing on "anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agents."

One of the key elements of focus is omega-3. Many of us may know that omega-3s are known for their anti-inflammatory agents. That's why attention has been moving towards these broadly beneficial fatty acids.

Not only do essential fatty acids (EFAs), which are primarily found in fatty fish, such as salmon, herring, and to a lesser extent tuna, help protect the heart and lower cholesterol, but now researchers are finding that they can also help cure DOMS.

A research team in Iran has published the encouraging results of a small randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (Tartibian B et al. Clin J Sport Med 2009). [2]

"In this study, 27 men who had not participated in any exercise program for 60 days were asked to do bench-stepping in a way known to cause 'eccentric muscle loading', wherein the muscle lengthens as it contracts, frequently causing muscle damage and resulting DOMS." [3]

Before beginning the exercise, the men were assigned to take either fish oil (high in omega-3 EPA and DHA) or placebo pills.

"The researchers measured indirect markers of muscle soreness, including perceived pain, thigh circumference (an indicator of muscle inflammation), and range of motion in the knee joint. Compared to the placebo and control group, the men in the omega-3 fish oil group showed significant improvements 24 and 48 hours following the exercise.:" [3]

If your starting a new exercise routine, follow the advice of physical fitness experts and start slowly and and make sure you warm-up, before exercising, and cool-down, after exercising. These simple steps may prevent DOMS. If you're like me, you want to go full out right away, which is not the best way to loss weight or get in shape.

If you do happen to experience DOMS, or if your looking for an omega-3 supplement, try TriVita's Omega Prime, a supplement that supplies your daily requirements of omega-3 fatty acids.

Weight Loss

Desperate To Lose Weight

Simple steps to keep the weight off, eat healthy foods.

Why? When you deprive your body of the much needed nutrients, your metabolism will begin to shut down to compensate for the loss. Hence the results are unproductive. Starving yourself is not the best way to lose weight quickly.

I challenge you to try and eat more foods that are unprocessed for at least 3 weeks until it becomes a habit.

Make meals that are wholesome and healthier for you.

Creating each meal with natural ingredients will allow you to actually eat more, as these foods generally tend to contain less calories, it follows that you can fill up your plate more. Not only can you eat more each meal, but you should also be eating often through out the day. 5-6 times per day, spread 2-3 hours apart, should be the norm. The end result is more and longer lasting energy and an all around great feeling that you cannot achieve while starving yourself.

There is one rule of thumb when you’re trying to lose weight. Use it as an indicator that you’re on the right track. DON’T starve yourself or allow yourself to get thirsty, if you do you will Dehydrate quickly. Be sure to drink as much water as you can tolerate, but Never allow yourself to become thirsty. Snack, even if your not hungry, so as to not let your metabolism drop. Remember, the more natural foods you eat and the more often you eat, the higher your metabolism| and this is the best way to lose weight quickly,

Drink plenty of clean water, at least 2 litres per day and keep sipping it. This will flush your system of toxins and fats that may have previously formed and keep you hydrated and energized throughout the day.

The answer to fast weight loss is really The secret to losing weight and maintaining that loss is not the amount of food you eat, but what you eat.

Weight Loss

Many diet or weight loss plans can be found Google, but finding the one that's right for you may be a problem. Why? Because every one is not made the same, and some people have certain illnesses that may require a different approach to weight loss.

The Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) is a weight loss plan recommended to many people diagnoses with hypertension (high blood pressure) or pre-hypertension by their physicians. The DASH diet eating plan has been proven to lower blood pressure in studies sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. [1]

The DASH diet provides more than the traditional low salt or low sodium diet to reduce blood pressure. It is based on an eating plan rich in fruits and vegetables, and low-fat or non-fat dairy (sounds like most weight loss plans to me).

Like most pans, losing weight will not happen if you do not take that first step. In my opinion, the first step towards losing weight can be as simple as avoiding snacks, you know, the ones caused by those cravings for sweets or salt.

When you randomly snack during the day by grabbing a handful of chips, nuts or cookies, you may think that as long as the portions are small that it won't affect your weight. What you need to know is, the calories in those snack foods can add up very quickly.

Try this simple routine to help you stop snacking; keep a food journal or diary. This will show you just how many calories you are eating each day. It may be a shock at first, but if you continue this process, you'll become cognizant of the added daily calories, and what they are doing to you weight.

Researchers discovered that patients who were part of a DASH study lost more than double the weight when they recorded their food choices in a diary. I'm sure you will see the same results, as long as you stick with it. Remember, it's the awareness factor that leads to action, and action leads to weight loss.

To decrease your weight even faster, you may want to try TriVita's Leanology® three step system. You can drink the shakes for breakfast and lunch, and if you have a craving to snack, you can eat the Leanology® Tasty Chews. They are the perfect, low calorie, deliciously satisfying snack that helps you lose weight in two crucial ways, as a snack substitute and as an an appetite controller.

And since we're talking about Leanology®, the third part includes the unique fat-burning capsules that will help you lose weight the most desirable way - by burning up your body's excess fat. So not only will the pounds drop off, but your body will be reshaped, too.

Why not make this plan work for you? Simply record all meals, snacks and drinks and add up your daily totals, and engage in Leanology's three step weight loss system. It's wort trying something, because doing the same thing and expecting different results may just lead to additional stress, and possibly hypertension.

Weigth Loss

Desperate To Lose Weight

Every person that begins a diet and exercise plan does so with the intention to become healthier and lose weight. How to lose weight quickly is a common question, which is why some people enlist the help of a personal trainer to guide them through the diet and exercise maze. Of course, diet and exercise is the healthiest way to lose weight, but it does take some time. As fat is replaced by muscle, calories are burned more efficiently and a leaner appearance is the result. Sometimes it's easy to get discouraged with this approach, but progress cannot be measured solely on what the scale reads. Muscle weighs more than fat, and many times weight stays the same or only decreases at small increments. Though it may not seem like much, weight loss is occurring at a steady rate.

Diet and exercise is great but in most cases, the weight doesn't just melt off like some people expect it to, which is why people want to know how to lose weight quickly. Depending on how much weight someone wants to lose, there are lots and lots of ways how to lose weight quickly. Low carbohydrate diets such as Atkins and the South Beach Diet are a good way to lose weight quickly, a lot if needed. Dieters can usually lose from five to ten pounds relatively quickly, but dieters should still be aware of their nutritional intake and not restrict themselves too much. Low carbohydrate diets emphasize eating greater amounts of protein, while restricting consumption of carbohydrates and refined sugars. The cayenne pepper diet attempts to use pepper to boost your metabolism. Once these foods are eliminated cravings will decrease, and the pounds will start to melt off as well.

For more ideas on how to lose weight quickly, dieters can visit the web to check out a multitude of sources with lots of good information on dieting, what plans works and which one's to stay away from. Both Atkins and the South Beach Diet can guide people who want to learn how to lose weight quickly, and keep it off. After losing weight it is easy to slip back into the clutches of bad habits. Now why would anyone want to do that after working so hard to get the weight off? In addition to learning how to lose weight quickly, dieters need to learn how to completely change their eating habits for good. Being healthy is much better than the alternative.
