Nopalea - Natural Pain Relief

Do you suffer from pain on a daily basis? If so, you may be happy to know that there are several natural ways to cure that nagging pain. However, before we get into the natural cures, we first must understand what pain is, and what are the causes of this pain.

Most people are familiar with 2 types of pain: acute and chronic. According to the family doctor web site (familydoctor.org) "Acute pain doesn't last long and usually goes away as your body heals. Chronic pain lasts at least 6 months after your body has healed. Sometimes, people who have chronic pain don't know what is causing it. Along with discomfort, chronic pain can cause low self-esteem, depression and anger. It can also interfere with your daily activities." [1]

"Treatment of chronic pain usually involves medicines and therapy. Medicines used for chronic pain include pain relievers, antidepressants and anticonvulsants. Different types of medicines help people who have different types of pain. You usually use long-acting medicines for constant pain. Short-acting medicines treat pain that comes and goes." [1]

There may hundreds or maybe even thousands of pain relief remedies out there, but before you try any pain relief remedies it's always best to consult with your health care practitioner and/or doctor. Even though some remedies may seem harmless to the average person, it may cause additional pain rather than provide you with pain relief.

If you're a pain sufferer, whether with acute or chronic pain, continue to do your research on alternatives to pain medication. Most doctors or health practitioners will not offer alternatives to you unless you ask them if it's right for you. Do the research and ask the questions! You may be surprised with the answer.

Penney Cowan, executive director and founder of the American Chronic Pain Association, says people need to ask themselves, "What's my role in regaining control of my life and actually living with this pain?" She also says that people "should take an active part" in their rehabilitation process. After all, aren't you the one suffering with the pain?

"A big part of pain management is feeling like you have to regain control of your life, because the pain has taken over," says Cowan. [2]

It has been suggested that many forms of pain are caused by inflammation. And many forms of inflammation are caused by toxins. We are faced with toxins every day of our lives. They in the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. Our bodies are constantly at battle trying to fight off these toxins that are attacking it daily.

TriVita's Sonroan Bloom Nopalea™ is recognized as one of the best inflammation fighters on the market. Nopalea™ specifically targets signs of inflammation in your body and reduces them quickly. [3] Its betalains and other anti-inflammatory ingredients work directly on the fluid surrounding your cells. There, they draw off the toxins and excess water to reduce inflammation and rebalance the cellular environment.

Nopalea is an all natural product, which harnesses the power of the betalains, a rare and potent class of antioxidants that flourish in the Nopal cactus. The nopal cactus flourishes in the Sonoran Desert, in northern Mexico, and the southwestern United States.

Weight Loss

Desperate To Lose Weight

For the most part, people do not care about their health until they have lost it. In the meantime, almost everyone hires a personal trainer for one reason: They want to look better naked. Some club owners and personal trainers have a problem with that. That’s fine. But these same clubs and trainers are usually the ones who are struggling to make ends meet.

There is a reason that diets, diet pills, miracle potions and the like sell so well — they promise easy weight loss. It’s mostly because these companies are selling what people really, really want — weight loss. If your personal training department is promoting to your members how you can help them fit into their “skinny jeans” again, well, you’re completely out of touch with reality.

When you provide a solid program of nutrition and exercise that delivers terrific weight-loss results, it’s like hiding medicine in applesauce. Members will receive health benefits as a natural matter of course, along with the weight loss they want.

Weight Loss

Desperate To Lose Weight

There are certain things about weight loss products that don’t quite ring true with the average dieter. For one, the monotony on the claims made by the manufacturers of weight loss products is quite obvious. It’s no longer unique to hear a weight loss product boast of its ability to boost the energy while eliminating the fat. And what’s worse, most of these claims are not true, anyway. They are just made in an effort to promote the products sold in the weight loss industry.

In an effort to do something short of a miracle in the pursuit for weight loss, dieters have began searching for other methods; one that would really work and would really promote weight loss. For example weight loss surgery. Like other surgeries, weight loss surgery also inevitably come with certain flaws in the sense that it has many hazards to offer.

Scientifically, weight loss surgery is proven to be effective when done properly by the surgeon; and when the dieter/patient is following directions. But even though there is an acceptable success rate of weight loss surgery patients, some people would rather rule out this option because of the said hazards that it may bring.

The first and ultimate thing that makes dieters want to try out weight loss surgery is that it can have a miracle effect on the body of a horrendously overweight or obese individual. Its effect can also be seen immediately; instantaneously. But even so, the dangers of weight loss surgery are quite undeniable. Indeed, weight loss surgery are not a hundred percent safe. Moreover, weight loss surgery is really quite expensive as well. Lastly, weight loss surgery is recommended for that who are really obese and would not to lose a lot of weight immediately; but then again, it doesn’t work well for those people who have chronic disorders such s heart diseases and diabetes.

If truth be told, weight loss surgery is quite a blessing, or so some people say. But once a dieter fails to instill discipline in him or herself after the surgical procedure, and then the effort that he or she has exerted on the weight loss surgery would only be futile.

As mentioned, weight loss surgery is not recommended for those people who are not thoroughly obese, so a dieter has to assess his or her excess body fat. Is it too much, indeed, or can it still be remedied through exercise and dieting? Exhaust other options first, especially those that can aid in health and wellness. Only after these options are no longer capable of promoting weight loss should you resort to weight loss surgery as a viable option to keep off excess body fat and body weigh

Sonoran Bloom Nopalea

People all around the world suffer from some sort of pain. Whether you're one of those that suffer from acute, or chronic pain is pain, I'm sure you understand your discomfort. Everyone has a certain tolerance to pain, some people can handle more, and some less. However, pain is pain! As mentioned in an article by Brazos Minshew, TriVita's Chief Science Officer, pain can have many different sensations. In an effort to preserve the value of this article, I'm posting it in its entirety.

Reduce Pain from the Inside Out

"Where does it hurt?" This is often the first question caregivers ask. (A caregiver may be a doctor or nurse, a friend or mommy!) We ask because we care; people often - though not always - tell us where it hurts because they are searching for a solution to their pain.

Why we hurt

Pain is a messenger system designed to tell us that something is wrong. As my grandfather used to say, "If your hand hurts, take it off the hot stove!" Pain is often designed to trigger a "withdrawal" response. We withdraw from pain because the pain tells us that we are being injured. This interpretation of pain may seem overly simplistic, especially in our world, where it is not always easy to take your hand off the hot stove, so to speak.

There are a number of different pain sensations. The feeling may seem sharp (superficial pain receptors) or dull (deeper pain receptors). It may seem to throb with your heartbeat or be constant. It may be fixed in one location or migratory - moving around from place to place. The main distinction of pain basically boils down to acute pain versus chronic pain.

  • Acute pain begins to go away as soon as you remove the trigger. Take your hand off the hot stove, repair the broken tooth or drink pure water to rehydrate the dehydrated brain and acute pain goes away. The message of pain has been received, interpreted and the corrective action taken.
  • Chronic pain persists after the cause has been removed or because the cause is itself a chronic condition. It is often related to inflammation - inflammation in the tissues of your body, or inflammation in the nervous system, or both. We used to have a saying to help us define inflammation: rubor, tumor, calor and dolor. These four Latin words mean redness, swelling, heat and pain.

Your brain eventually interprets the signals in a way that motivates you to confront the cause of pain. Interestingly, the brain doesn't feel pain; it merely interprets the nerve and chemical signals as painful.

Understanding the signals

It is important for us to understand why we hurt so that we can take the proper action. The four basic pain triggers are:

  1. Trauma or injury
  2. Toxins or poisons
  3. Emotional distress
  4. Deficiency

As mentioned above, an example of a deficiency that causes pain may be a water deficiency (dehydration) causing a headache. Another extremely common form of painful dehydration is osteoarthritis (OA). In OA the soft tissue of the joint capsule loses water and withers. This may be due to a number of causes, including simply not drinking enough water. More often, joint dehydration associated with OA occurs because there are not enough minerals to hold the water in its proper place and quantity. This is why TriVita's OptimaFlex® contains both pain/inflammation reducing ingredients and minerals associated with healthy, moist joints.

An example of toxins creating pain may be the way toxins from inside your intestines trigger rheumatoid arthritis and many other "autoimmune" disorders. Typically, a toxin from inside your system escapes into the bloodstream and relocates to the soft tissue of your organs or around your joints. Your immune system attacks both the toxins and the soft tissues. In an attempt to remove the toxin or poison, your system may destroy the tissue in which the toxin resides.

Pain caused by toxins frequently responds to Nopalea™, as the Betalains in Nopalea are both anti-inflammatory and anti-toxin. These two actions help your immune system work smarter, not harder and, ultimately, help you do what you do best: heal. This often results in reduced levels of chronic pain.

The lesson of pain

Dedicated physicians spend decades learning the antecedents, triggers and inflammatory pathways associated with acute and chronic pain. There is simply no way to address all of the particulars of pain in our Wellness Reports; however it is my sincere wish that this report gives you a little more insight into the possible causes - and solutions - for acute and chronic pain.

There's no reason for anyone to suffer from pain on a daily basis, espcially if it's caused by inflammation. There are plenty of natural products, like Sonoran Bloom's Nopalea™ to help fight inflammation, and reduce the pain related symptoms. Many people have been drinking Nopalea™, and living a pain free life, since the product has been developed. Now, you too can try Nopalea™.

"Sometimes my sinuses get so blocked, I can hardly breathe, and it wakes me up at night. Recently, I took a prescribed nasal spray, which hardly gave me any relief. Then, I decided to take my Nopalea™. Within minutes, I felt calm and the inflammation in my sinuses decreased to the point where I could rest comfortably. When I finally got up to start my day, I felt rested, refreshed and was breathing freely again. Thank you, Trivita for Nopalea!"
Jean S. – Glendale, AZ

If inflammation is the problem, Sonoran Bloom Nopalea™ is the solution.

Nopalea, and OptimaFlex, the products listed in the wellness report by Mr. Minshew, are available from TriVita. Go to the TriVita Products web site to learn more.

Pain Relief

How to escape the heavy burden of chronic pain.

Chronic pain is a reality that millions of people in our country live with and try to deal with every day. Chronic pain distracts people from joy in their relationships. Chronic pain robs people from experiencing love. Chronic pain keeps people from working and earning a living. In short, chronic pain makes life miserable for millions of people.

What can be done? Well fortunately, lots can be done to help reduce the suffering of chronic pain. First of all, though, to help you who have never had chronic pain relate to this problem, this burden, I will paint a picture. Imagine having a bad toothache (most of us have had that) that just won’t go away. It occupies your every thought. You feel it when you wake, you notice it in everything you do. It makes you feel irritable. That’s chronic pain. So if you don’t have this, you probably do know somebody who does have it so maybe you’ll want to pay attention to this for the sake of the person with chronic pain that you happen to know.

Pain is Helpful

Pain is a feeling triggered in the nervous system. Pain may be sharp or dull. It may come and go, or it may be constant. You may feel pain in one area of your body, such as your back, abdomen or chest or you may feel pain all over, such as when your muscles ache from the flu.

Pain can be helpful. Without pain, you might seriously hurt yourself without knowing it, or you might not realize you have a medical problem that needs treatment. Once you take care of the problem, pain usually goes away. However, sometimes pain goes on for weeks, months or even years. This is called chronic pain. Sometimes chronic pain is due to an ongoing cause, such as cancer or arthritis. Sometimes the cause is unknown.
